Dorking Town Partnership (DTP) was formed after consultation with businesses indicated a desire to find out more about what a Business Improvement District (BID) could do for the town centre. DTP has been able to gain funding to make some further investigations and to develop a BID over the next 12 months, should businesses choose to go down this route.

The BID represents a one-off opportunity for businesses to have a major influence on the management, marketing and promotion of Dorking.

“With nearby towns such as Guildford and Wimbledon already running BIDs, and others investigating Business Improvement Districts, it’s time that the Dorking business community takes matters into its own hands. We are excited to embark upon this journey and we hope that all businesses in the town centre will be open to this discussion by telling us what you need and hearing about the opportunities that a BID could bring.”
